Currently, biopower influences several contexts, such as health and education. This contributes to the perpetuation of pathologization and medicalization of subjects, which rules out the understanding of subjectivity. In order to understand how this affects the psychologist's practice and influence in the perpetuation of the child's medicalizing culture, we used a systematic literature review in order to develop a critical reflection on their performance. The results obtained showed a need for future studies on the psychologist's practice, but we concluded that it is from the school context that the main demands for psychodiagnoses come from, and that it most contributes to this medicalizing view.
