Abstract
This article aims to briefly present some observations regarding the definition and relevance of the theological discipline of the Old Testament, in this segment, its function and possible relationship with other theological disciplines will be pointed out. It is still aimed at accentuating from the canon its transtemporal narrative-prescriptive nature and, similarly, suggesting its methodological propositions as a phenomenon suggested in the canon itself, which seems to vindicate the perspectives of a multiple-simultaneous methodological convergence so that the all-encompassing themes of the Old Testament can be adequately accessed.
