Abstract
Uma porção significativa da teologia adventista, especificamente a “mensagem de saúde”, é construída em torno da observação do apóstolo Paulo de que o “corpo humano é o templo do Espírito Santo” e que, consequentemente, “não somos nossos”. Com base nessa visão, os adventistas compilaram uma vasta literatura sobre vida saudável; no entanto, pouco foi publicado sobre como os adventistas interagem com aspectos da criação fora deles mesmos. O objetivo deste artigo é explorar quais insights as “Crenças Fundamentais dos Adventistas do Sétimo Dia” podem ter para aqueles que as adotam, como essas crenças mediam o impacto ambiental dos adventistas e quais oportunidades estão disponíveis para a igreja e seus membros.
