Abstract

This article aims to analyze how Information Technology has transformed teaching and learning processes, particularly in the context of remote education. It serves as the foundation that has enabled distance learning, not only modernizing teaching methods but also expanding access to knowledge. The research adopted a qualitative approach, based on a bibliographic analysis of books and scientific articles. It discusses the integration of digital technologies in educational settings, emerging challenges such as infrastructure, teacher preparation, and student engagement, and future prospects for hybrid and digital education. Thus, despite the many benefits of remote education, Information Technology also presents challenges, including the need for digital literacy among teachers and students, as well as continuous professional development to keep pace with technological innovations such as Artificial Intelligence.
