This article was designed as an objective, analyzing the state of the art, involving information about the reverse logistics system and its relationship with those used by organizations in their decision-making. With that, a systematic literature review (RBS) was used to show the promotion of the flow of information and its impact on decision making. Adopting a qualitative methodology, presented primary data collected in articles, dissertations, and published theses, contained in relevant databases (BDTD, Science Direct, and Web of Science) and completed data from the analysis processes of the explained documents. In this process, a ten-year time horizon was established (2010-2020). Through the analyzes carried out, it was possible to complete the generation of the information flow involving the reverse logistics systems in decision making, as the associations operate in a volatile scenario, so any information that helps the decision maker to reduce his uncertainties is crucial, especially if it reduces related to the waste generated, its destination, the impacts that its processes cause to the environment, the sustainable practices required by the legislation and society responsible for consumption, as well as means to add value to the products that return along the production chain through the channels of reverse logistics .
