Efeitos da exposição à tela no desenvolvimento da população infanto-juvenil: uma revisão narrativa de literatura.

Objetivo: revisar na literatura os efeitos da exposição às telas no desenvolvimento infanto-juvenil. Metodologia: Revisão Narrativa com busca bibliográfica entre março e abril de 2023 nas bases de dados Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (PubMed/Medline), The Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) com base os descritores indexados nos Descritores em Ciência da Saúde (DECS) e no Medical Subject Headings (MESH) e empregador booleano “AND“. Resultados: 21 artigos publicados entre 2004 e 2022. Discussão: Inúmeras são as correlações negativas entre tempo de tela e desenvolvimento com impacto em habilidades motoras linguagem, cognição, comportamento e regulação emocional que reverberam por toda a vida. Porém as evidências ainda são inconclusivas, visto que também são observadas associações positivas com e que os estudos diferem em metodologia e amostra. Conclusão: Dada a relevância do tema, existe a necessidade de mais estudos que abordem o assunto a fim de embasarem futuras diretrizes e esclarecer sobre os riscos da exposição às mídias.
