Resumo

Este artigo visa apresentar uma breve crítica ao método histórico-crítico de interpretação, bem como indicar como uma pessoa com uma visão elevada das Escrituras deve abordar o texto bíblico. O artigo está dividido em três seções. A primeira trata de uma breve descrição e definição do método histórico-crítico. A segunda trata de algumas reações ao método histórico-crítico vindas tanto de contextos liberais quanto conservadores. O terceiro discute brevemente como ler o texto bíblico de um ponto de vista da fé. A conclusão é que a própria Bíblia exige a maneira como deve ser lida. Portanto, uma leitura adequada da Escritura deve levar em consideração os pressupostos da própria Escritura.
