Este artigo tem como objetivo fazer uma retrospectiva da vidado historiador judeu Flávio Josefo, ressaltar os pontos altos de suatrajetória, descrever brevemente suas obras e o conteúdo delas e fazerum levantamento de algumas das muitas contribuições que seusescritos trazem para nossa maior compreensão da Bíblia.

This article has as its goal to make a retrospective approach tothe life of the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus. So that we are ableto detach the main points of his trajectory, to describe briefly his worksand their content, and to survey some of the many contributions thathis writings bring to the Bible understanding.
