Introduction: The new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), has spread throughout the world since December 2019 leading the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare an acute respiratory syndrome pandemic (COVID-19). On February 25, 2020, the first case of COVID-19 in Brazil was announced. As a protective measure, social distancing was adopted by the country on March 20. The Bahia Adventist College (FADBA) has established preventive measures against COVID-19. A new protocol was developed for those who decided to remain at the institution during their distance, generating changes in the daily routine and habits of residents. Objective: To verify if the changes in the daily routine brought consequences in the oral hygiene habits and in the oral health of the residents of the Bahia Adventist College, in the period of distance by COVID-19. Methodology: Cross-sectional, quantitative research, carried out through self-administered questionnaires to FADBA residents. Results: The expressive majority of the participants stated that their daily routine changed with distance. The frequency and dietary pattern, as well as oral hygiene habits and the quality of oral health, did not change significantly. Conclusion: The daily routine of FADBA residents underwent changes during social distance, however, such changes did not alter eating habits, oral hygiene habits and the quality of oral health.
