Abstract

Introduction: The deaf population faces several difficulties regarding access to health. Objective: To understand the obstacles encountered in the accessing health care from the perspective of deaf individuals.
Methodology: It’s about a cross-sectional, qualitative research, conducted through interviews with deaf individuals.

Results: Communication difficulties was considered them main obstacle in relation to health
services. The limitation in the knowledge of Libras by health professionals causes discomfort during consultations.

Conclusion: There was a need to guide health professionals in relation to the difficulties of the deaf individuals in health services
