EFEITOS NEUROLÓGICOS DA SUPEREXPOSIÇÃO À INTERNET: UMA INTRODUÇÃO AO CENÁRIO

A superexposição à Internet proliferou, levando ao surgimento do chamado “vício em Internet”. O tema dos efeitos no cérebro causados pela superexposição à Internet é significativo por ser um assunto considerado de utilidade pública. Neste sentido, este artigo se propõe a apresentar as principais descobertas da neurociência sobre o vício em internet e as integra em uma estrutura teórica concisa. Trata-se de um ensaio teórico, de abordagem bibliográfica de caráter narrativo. E Embora esse trabalho não seja uma ampla revisão da literatura, traz dados importantes sobre algumas das pesquisas relacionadas às influências neurológicas da exposição excessiva à Internet, articuladas e organizadas em categorias relacionadas. O vício em internet é um desafio físico, social, emocional e psicológico significativo. A maior parte das pesquisas sobre vícios parecem concentra-se em fatores pessoais, sociais, físicos, emocionais ou mentais relacionados ao tópico. No entanto, parece haver poucos estudos voltados para o desenvolvimento cognitivo e sua relação com o uso da Internet, se abrindo no horizonte uma extensa agenda.
